Known Issues & Problems
- Xtreme Gamut Satine Fine Art Paper:Some prints produced on this medium are known to have color shifted. We used this paper for certain limited edition prints in 2000 and 2001. These prints can be identified by a printed title below the image and a copyright notice in the lower left border. Also check the label on the back of framed pictures. If you purchased one of these images, you should contact us for a replacement.
- Epson Premium Glossy Paper:Fogging may occur on the inside of the glass. This issue applies to certain prints sold in 2000 and 2001. This fog is not harmful and can be removed as follows:
- carefully remove the spring clips from the top frame section and loosen the corner screws. Remove the top section. Wear eye protection as the spring clips may fly out.
- Slide out the mount/image/mat/glass package, and use an X-acto knife to slice the moisture barrier tape that holds the package together. Leave one side uncut.
- Separate the glass from the mat and fold over like a book. Carefully cover the print with a newspaper. Clean the inside of the glass with a non-amonia based glass cleaner. Do not get cleaner on the print.
- Fold the glass back over the mat and slide the package back in the frame
- Reattach the top frame section and reinsert the spring clips.
Limitations
All color fades in time, regardless of medium. No art work should be displayed unless matted and framed under glass with acid free or buffered mats and backing boards. Avoid displaying artwork in direct sunlight. The above warranty applies only to prints which have been archivally matted and framed or are still sealed in the original shrinkwrap. We will reframe your print at no charge if you deliver it to us or ship it postage-paid. We cannot reimburse the cost of third party framing, and no other warranties are expressed or implied.
